Please Do Business With Caution
Buying a vehicle is an important financial decision. Never rely solely on a listing, photograph, price, or conversation when deciding to purchase a vehicle.
Before making any payment or completing a transaction, we strongly encourage buyers to:
- Inspect the vehicle physically.
- Verify the identity of the seller.
- Confirm ownership and relevant vehicle documentation.
- Check the vehicle's registration and other available records.
- Verify the vehicle's condition, mileage, and history independently.
- Arrange an independent mechanical inspection where appropriate.
- Test-drive the vehicle when reasonably possible.
- Confirm that the person selling the vehicle has the legal authority to sell it.
- Be particularly cautious of prices that appear unusually low.
- Avoid sending money simply because a seller is pressuring you to pay quickly.
- Never share passwords, verification codes, or sensitive financial information with another user.
- Use appropriate caution when meeting someone you have only communicated with online.
Do not assume that a vehicle is genuine, available, correctly described, or legally owned simply because it appears on iCarValue.
If something feels suspicious, stop the transaction and investigate before proceeding.
For Sellers
Sellers are responsible for ensuring that their listings are accurate, lawful, and not misleading.
Do not advertise a vehicle that you do not have the authority to sell.
Do not provide false information, use misleading photographs, misrepresent a vehicle's condition, or attempt to defraud another user.
iCarValue may remove listings, restrict accounts, or take other appropriate action where we identify suspected fraud, abuse, misleading information, or violations of our rules.
Important
iCarValue provides a marketplace that helps buyers and sellers connect.
Users should independently verify vehicles, sellers, documents, ownership, condition, and transaction details before proceeding.
